Security Officer Remote & Hybrid Only Jobs in District of Columbia
A Security Officer serves an integral role in the security industry by maintaining safety and security within a designated area. Their responsibilities may include patrolling and monitoring premises, preventing and controlling unauthorized access, detecting suspicious activity, and enforcing company's policies. Before becoming a Security Officer, a person may have roles such as Security Guard, Loss Prevention Associate, or even a Police Officer. Each of these roles provides relevant experience in monitoring and maintaining security, as well as responding to security threats. Important certifications for a Security Officer might include a Security Guard License, First Aid and CPR certification, and specialized security training. Some positions may also require a degree in Criminal Justice or a related field for advanced Security Officer roles. Ultimately, a Security Officer's role is varied and crucial in maintaining peace and safety in a variety of settings.
