Security Officer Patrol

As a Security Officer Patrol in Ronkonkoma, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. In this unarmed role, you will stay visible, respond to routine concerns, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agency representatives as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, entrances, waiting areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor entry in accordance with site procedures, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support daily operations by providing directions, assisting with orderly foot traffic, and maintaining a professional presence during normal business hours and/or after-hours activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
